$128 Blu-Ray player at Walmart. Quote:
Frugal shoppers listen up! There are an absolute ton of Blu-ray Disc players and titles that are going to be signicantly reduced for the sales that accompany the day after Thanksgiving - also known as Black Friday. One of the lowest we've see so far, is that Walmart will be offering the Magnavox NB500MG9 BonusView Blu-ray player for only $128!
Like all "door buster" Black Friday deals, quantities will be limited to what's in stock, and once they're gone, they're gone. So if you're looking to pick up the perfect holiday gift, or simply looking for a player yourself, this the best deal yet for getting your hands on a Blu-ray player. | Blu-ray.com - Walmart Bows $128 Blu-ray Player for Black Friday |

According to a report from NPD Group unit DisplaySearch, consumers purchased 147,000 stand-alone Blu-ray Disc players during the week of Thanksgiving, which includes the popular Black Friday. These sales generated $30 Million in revenue (averaging to a little more than $200 per player), which was triple from a year ago even though prices have significantly dropped.
Additionally, 25% of all optical disc players purchase were of the Blu-ray format, up 6% from a year ago. By the end of the shopping season, manufacturers will ship 911,000 Blu-ray Disc players during the fourth quarter, for a total of 2.2 Million players on the year.
These numbers do not include the Sony PS3, which is one of the most popular Blu-ray Disc players on the market.

| Here's some more good news. When I attended the BB Midnight launch of TDK, absolutely everyone (probably about 15 people) was in line to purchase the BR edition of the copy. I saw no one going for the DVD... |

If I hadn't used my reward zone dollars I would have picked one up from the shelf and been out of the store in only a few minutes.
I wasn't sure what would happen to my reward zone dollars if I let the order get canceled for non pickup.
The BestBuy in store pickup sucks at my local store.

| I was there at the midnight launch and the majority was there for the blu-ray, but it wasn't a vast majority. Also, the worker I talked to said they got like 500 copies of the blu-ray overall.
