Default Which actor has been the best James Bond?

With the upcoming release of the new James Bond adventure 'Quantum of Solace" I started to think about which actor has played role of James Bond the best. IMO , the top three have been Sean Connery, Pierce Brosnan and Danie Craig.

I voted Roger Moore. After that, I say Sean Connery and Daniel Craig.

I wonder if George Lazenby will get any votes...

Who's George Lazenby?

jk I know the only Bond film he did was "On her Majesty's Secret Service" which was not such a great bond film, BTW.

When it comes to James bond normally your first Bond is your favorite Bond.

That's true DMill. Roger Moore was Bond when I first started watching Bond films so in my eyes, he was the only actor who could have portrayed Bond. Dalton never grasped the role. Brosnan's had a very strong entry with Goldeneye but started to slip after that (I think he either was to old or began to lose his edge starting with Tomorrow Never Dies) and now Craig has brought the toughness back.

I think what made Connery such a good Bond was he was both smooth/sophisticated and reckless/tough at the same time. No other actor portraying Bond could capture that. Connery's wit and charisma was also above everyone elses.

I think DMiller should be the next Bond. Bring the gadget-y-ness side out of Bond.
